The decor in a child’s bathroom is very important as it ensures that each time children enter this space, they’ll have a fun experience. Some of the tips that you can implement are:

• Color: paint the walls in bright and pleasant colors such as yellow, blue, green, or pink.
• Details: choose one or more walls to contrast. You can use wallpaper with flowers, animals, cartoons, stars or whatever your children prefer. Don’t rule out painting a wall with chalk paint so that children can write, draw or keep track of their growth.

• Set up a booster, steps, or a ladder to ensure that your children can reach the sink, toilet, and bathtub. Otherwise, they could try to reach those accessories and fall or slide.
• Install some grab bars in the bathtub or shower.
• Put the towel rack and mirror at their height so that they can develop habits of independence in complete safety.
• Replace the hygiene products that come in glass containers, as they should always be plastic. This avoids accidents.
• Keep sharp objects such as scissors, nail clippers, or razors away from your child’s bathroom. Children should never handle these items unsupervised and therefore they should be kept in a safe place with limited access.
• Use a floating thermometer to check that the water temperature is suitable for children.

• Cover the faucet with inflatable protectors. This way you’ll avoid accidents if children touch or bang into them.
• Use non-slip mats and keep the floor dry, thus reducing the chances of slipping.
• Lock the drawers or bathroom cabinets to prevent children from accessing what’s inside.
