Today, we’ll take a tour of all the new kitchen trends launched in 2020. In fact, there are some developments that we haven’t seen before in traditional kitchens.

We’ve seen new kitchen styles, new colors, and creating separate corners from the rest of the kitchen. There are so many great ideas to make the kitchen the most lived-in room in the house. It’s important to give your kitchen the attention it deserves!

Kitchens have become more and more the heart of the home. This is a room that is not just for cooking anymore. Instead, we use it as a place for children to do their homework, a workplace for adults, and a place to gather with friends.

Therefore, we wanted to bring you the latest in planning and organizing kitchens. Let’s take a look!

Some kitchen trends from 2019 include new colors.

One eternal dilemma of decorating a kitchen is choosing the perfect color. This isn’t an easy choice. However, because most people dedicate a lot of the home budget to the kitchen, we recommend choosing colors and materials that don’t go out of style easily.

Last year, we saw more kitchens in light tones. Beige and white are both color choices that you know will always be in style. However, some new kitchen trends include aqua green and sea blue. Another new trend is navy blue for a darker color option.

Despite not being a soft color, navy blue is a classic color choice that will always look great. This is a perfect way to use a classic color to create a fresh, new kitchen look.

No matter what color you choose, make sure you use a high-gloss paint. However, we’re not talking about laminate. Instead, consider painting wooden furniture in high-gloss colors. This creates a luxurious look.

Cooking and gathering together

A large kitchen with lots of space.

This one of the newest trends, but also one of our favorites. Turn your kitchen space into two different areas. The first space is where you do all the traditional things in a kitchen – the cooking, cleaning, and washing up.

The second zone is a place to gather together. However, this trend goes beyond just the traditional breakfast nook. Instead, we recommend creating a formal dining room in the kitchen.

If you like to entertain friends and family in your home, this is a kitchen trend for you! This allows you to spend time and converse with your guests while you prepare dinner. This also makes your friends feel right at home!

A high-tech kitchen.

Every day, more and more people are working from home. If you have a spacious kitchen with lots of natural light, this could be the perfect place to work. This is another great innovation of kitchen trends from 2020.

However, we’re not saying you should work right next to the stove. Instead, reserve a space in the kitchen exclusively for work. This is an accessible luxury that is easy to create.

Of course, you’ll need to equip your kitchen with all the technology you need just as if it was your own office.

For example, plan out where you’ll need additional plugs, internet access, and where to put a computer. You’ll also want to pay special attention to the lighting in your work corner. You want to make sure that you have enough light to work independently of the general lighting in the kitchen.

A ladder to reach higher shelves.

One creative trend is to make your kitchen feel almost like an old library with a moving ladder. This also allows you to access upper cabinets without a problem. In addition to this interesting look, it also allows you to reorganize your storage space.

In fact, this is one of the kitchen trends that’s great for making the most of every last inch of your kitchen. You can also install new ceiling storage systems to create more space. Then, with the ladder, you can easily and comfortably access anything you place high up.

Kitchens with pantries

A full pantry.

We all know how difficult it is to find enough storage in your kitchen for all your weekly and monthly purchases. However, including a pantry in your kitchen is a great way to solve this problem.

They say that a full pantry is the sign of a happy house and we couldn’t agree more. One of the latest kitchen trends is including a separate freezer or fridge for certain items inside pantries.

It’s important to keep your pantry organized by item. Also, you want to keep your pantry clean and neatly ordered. This will make your life so much easier! You’ll never have to rummage around in cabinets to look for the pepper or a tin of tomatoes again!

An open-plan kitchen and living room.

While this is a very American trend, we love it! This isn’t limited to creating an additional dining or breakfast area. Instead, you can turn your kitchen into a second living room.

In fact, you could reserve a place off of your kitchen for a sofa, television, or even a large fireplace. Without a doubt, this is a unique option, but one that can be very effective!
