2. Have everything you need on hand
This may seem obvious, but it isn’t. Before you start cleaning, plan your steps carefully and make sure you have everything you need on hand – from cleaning products to rags, garbage bags, etc. The KonMarie method advises having a box with whatever you’ll need and a stool.
She recommends you clean by category, rather than location. This means, for example, cleaning all lamps, floors, windows… This makes for more efficient work. Also, it’s very important to take breaks and dance around a little bit.
