This includes giving more order to your home by sorting out all of those unloved corners! The weekend is the perfect time to get started and make your home a different place. Let’s order it from top to bottom.

So if you find yourself with time on your hands this weekend, get to work! Keep reading to discover our ideas.

Modular furniture: a great way to give more order to your home

Decorative elements of the hall.

Modular furniture such as wardrobes and cupboards are essential to achieving more order at home, especially if you need to optimize your spaces to the maximum.

You can place them behind a door, against a free wall, and if your ceilings allow it, even up high. Make them match the decor style you’ve chosen for that room and coordinate them with the rest of your furniture and accessories.

You can take advantage of having a modular piece of furniture in your hallway and create a practical entrance space with areas to store shoes, coats, and bags. Also, they’re super useful in the bathroom for towels and toiletries or in the kitchen as a pantry. Modular furniture offers a storage solution that keeps your belongings together and in place.

Get down to business and order your home: your storeroom

When it comes to adding order in your home, your storeroom is one of those places that’s often neglected. Well, the days of storage disorder are numbered! When you’ve finished ordering this room, you’ll feel happier, organized, and be able to find everything you need. There’s no better feeling!

The first thing that you should be clear about is that your storage or utility room is a place to store the belongings that you don’t use every day. It’s not a room where you store things without meaning. Check everything that you want to store, because according to order experts, 80 percent of what we store are things that we don’t use. If this applies to you, recycle them, give them away or throw them away.

Add modular shelving that’s not too high so that you can easily access everything. Opt for airtight boxes to prevent dust from entering the contents and classify each box. Adding labels on the front of each box to describe what’s inside, will make your life easier.

Organize your laundry room

If you have a laundry room, it’s easy for it to quickly become one of the most disorganized and chaotic places in your home. Maybe you don’t have a specific place for each item, or maybe you use it as an extension of your storage room? Children’s sporting equipment, pet food, and cleaning products are all examples of items that can quickly become disorganized and pile up.

When it comes to ordering your home from top to bottom, this is one of the key rooms that you should pay attention to. You’ll find that you can get this room to work much harder by adding some shelves and even closed or locked cabinets to store your cleaning products safely.

Order your home with the perfect pantry

If you want to truly enjoy the benefits of having everything in its place, without a doubt, the pantry is one of the places that you should get to work on!

One trick is to group food by categories and logically, leaving the products that you use the most often on the shelves at head height. Keep products with the closest expiry dates toward the front. Use transparent containers to store food, so you can maintain your inventory and update your shopping lists.

Reserve the lower space in your pantry for heavier products, such as water bottles, cooking oils, and potatoes. By doing this, you’ll also protect your cupboards from wear and tear.

Order your closets

Take out all the clothes from your closet so that you can start organizing from scratch. Then, follow Marie Kondo’s advice and get rid of what you no longer use.

Now, create categories to help you find things faster and to keep everything looking neat and harmonious. Keep the clothes you wear most often close at hand and, if you have shelves in the upper part, place seasonal items in transparent vacuum bags.

Fold vertically to save space and prevent your clothes from becoming disorganized each time you grab a t-shirt. One more thing: use dividers inside your drawers for smaller accessories.
